EHRA Non-Faculty

EHRA non-faculty employees are exempt from the State Human Resources Act of North Carolina and are directly engaged in the activities of NC State’s mission of education, research and extension.

New Hire Checklist

As a new EHRA non-faculty employee, you have important decisions to make and several documents and forms to complete. Most of this can be done online with NC State’s New Hire Checklist inside MyPack Portal, the university’s self-service system for faculty, staff and students.

To access the checklist, follow the New Hire Checklist link and log in using your Unity ID and password. Your Unity ID and password will be sent to you by email before your first day of employment. If you haven’t received this information by then, please contact the staff in the Onboarding Center at or by phone at (919) 513-1278. The staff in the Onboarding Center is also available to answer any questions you may have about using the New Hire Checklist.
