EHRA Faculty

EHRA faculty members are at the center of NC State’s mission of research, education and extension. Faculty positions include tenured and tenure-track appointments, as well as non-tenure track positions. For more about these designations, visit the Human Resources website. EHRA faculty are exempt from the State Human Resources Act of North Carolina.

New Hire Checklist

As a new faculty member, you have important decisions to make and several documents and forms to complete. Most of this can be done online with NC State’s New Hire Checklist inside MyPack Portal, the university’s self-service system for faculty, staff and students.

To access the checklist, follow the New Hire Checklist link and log in using your Unity ID and password. Your Unity ID and password will be sent to you by email before your first day of employment. If you haven’t received this information by then, please contact the staff in the Onboarding Center at onboardingcenter@ncsu.edu or by phone at (919) 513-1278. The staff in the Onboarding Center is also available to answer any questions you may have about using the New Hire Checklist.

New Faculty Orientation

Faculty are also invited to participate in New Faculty Orientation (NFO) held in early August. This  orientation is intended for  tenured, tenure-track faculty and full-time non-tenure-track faculty new to the University.  The goal of NFO is to offer new faculty useful resources and successful strategies for teaching, research and service, and it does not duplicate the information provided in New Employee Orientation.  For more information, visit the Office of Faculty Development website.
