Temporary Employee Resources
Temporary employees are important members of the Wolfpack team. The role of temporary employees is essential to the day-to-day operations of the University. Temporary employees are not considered benefits-eligible, but there are still plenty of perks Temporary Employees are eligible for.
As a new Temporary employee, you have important decisions to make and several documents and forms to complete. Most of this can be done online with NC State’s New Hire Checklist inside MyPack Portal, the university’s self-service system for faculty, staff and students.
To access the checklist, follow the New Hire Checklist link and log in using your Unity ID and password. Your Unity ID and instructions to set-up a password will be sent to you by email before your first day of employment. If you haven’t received this information by then, please contact the staff in the Onboarding Center at onboardingcenter@ncsu.edu or by phone at (919) 513-1278. The staff in the Onboarding Center is also available to answer any questions you may have about using the New Hire Checklist.
Information Technology
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) provides services for all NC State employees. Everyone who uses the university’s IT resources, either on campus or remotely, must abide by the university’s Computer Use Policy. For general IT assistance, contact the NC State Help Desk. Some colleges and departments provide additional resources, desktop computing and local network support.
As always, if you need any assistance, feel free to contact the staff in the Onboarding Center at onboardingcenter@ncsu.edu or by phone 919-513-0407.
